Professor Bob Garvey is a leading academic practitioner in coaching, mentoring and leadership development. Described as a ‘thought leader’, Bob offers a critical perspective on leadership.
He will present two separate programmes in Bahrain. A four day course will concentrate on solution focused leadership and business development while a one day programme will concentrate on coaching skills for managers and leaders.
Coaching is fast becoming one of the most important developmental performance processes available to business today and is relevant across all sectors of business.
Prof. Garvey has an impressive record of research, teaching and consultancy in a range of different national and international organisations and is in demand as a lively and sometimes controversial keynote speaker. He is widely published particularly in the area of coaching and mentoring and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Participants in both programmes will discover and hands on experience of the core elements covering; Motivational and morale, Business Performance, Policy Implementation, Knowledge and Skills Development, Change Management, Leadership and Succession Planning
His programmes are being organised by Management Development Centre International, which has so far helped more than three thousand professionals, from across the Gulf Region, to complete their postgraduate studies.

He is one of Europe’s leading academic practitioners of mentoring and coaching. Bob has extensive experience in working across many sectors of social and economic activity. He writes about coaching and mentoring in various outlets including books and journals. He delivers international Webinars on a variety of coaching and mentoring topics. Bob mentors/coaches a number of people from a variety of organisations and walks of life. He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). He is also a member of the International Mentoring Association (IMA). In 2014, the journal, ‘Coaching at Work’ awarded him a life time achievement award for contributions to mentoring. Also in 2014, Bob received the EMCC’s mentor award. In 2016 the EMCC appointed Bob as the special Ambassador for Mentoring.
