The MBA, or Masters in Business Administration, is one of the pinnacle management qualifications a business professional can achieve. The prestigious University of Hull, based in the UK, has offered its MBA in Oman for the past 18 years and recently begun its 35th intake and is now recruiting for the 36th.
The programme is administered by MDCI Ltd in Oman. Office Manager Achal Zoting says “……..the key to the programmes’ success is that lecturers are flown to Oman from the UK. Lectures take place over a weekend at comfortable locations once every six to eight weeks. This enables students to study without taking a break from their career or family commitments!”
The Hull MBA is internationally recognised and fully accredited by the Education Ministry in the Sultanate of Oman.
The quality of learning and teaching judged as excellent (QAA score: 23/24) and research rated as demonstrating national and international excellence (RAE 2001: rated 4), the Business School at the University of Hull has further enhanced its reputation and become one of the leading UK business schools.
In between lectures, MDCI staff are available to provide full local support and students and lecturers stay in touch with their own virtual community. MDCI’s Oman office provides students with the opportunity to study in the library, develop further understanding from the extensive selection of business books, and stay in touch with fellow students, lecturers through the internet.
Students from the following organisations will gain knowledge and tools from their programme which they will be able to take back into their workplace at; Standard Chartered Bank, Ernst & Young, Oman LNG, Sohar Aluminium, Omantel and PDO.
The 36th MBA group will commence studies in the Autumn of 2014.
