Professor of Logistics, Hull University Business School
Professor David B Grant is Professor of Logistics at Hull University Business School (HUBS) and formerly the Director of the Logistics Institute (2009-12) and Associate Dean (Business Engagement) (2013-14).
Since 2015, he has also been Professor of Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility, Department of Marketing, Hanken School of Economics, Finland.
His visiting appointments include Aalto University, Finland; Universidad de los Andes, Colombia; École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur, France; Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Austria; Aix-Marseille Université, France; University of Oulu, Finland.
Olena is originally from Russia and has been based in Bahrain for the past twenty years. Her first degree was M.A. in Russian Language and Literature. After moving to Bahrain Olena moved into the field of Business and Finance and continued her educational journey for 10 years.
Olena has studied at Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance, earned B.Sc. in Financial Services from Manchester University and graduated from Hull University in 2005 with MBA degree whilst working in family business. Since 2003 Olena has been a managing director of the family-owned Advertising and Marketing agency.
Olena will share her experiences of the MBA programme and discuss how it changed her life.
Christopher John Lewis
Chris is a professionally qualified MBA and MSc. Healthcare Management graduate with a proven track record in healthcare management, marketing, and accreditation.
He is experienced in strategic & operational management, change management and via working on a trading account basis (profit & Loss and Balance Sheet) and budget basis.
Dr. Salman Ebrahim Alfardan
Dr. Salman joined Cable and Wireless Bahrain in 1972 as a technician and continued with the Bahrain Telecommunication Company until 2001, as a manager. He worked part-time lecturing with AMAI University, and Management Development Centre (MDCI) Hull University office and the American University of London. Dr. Salman has taught and trained in various institutes across the GCC.
In addition, he has provided second (shadow) supervision for MBA students. Dr. Salman gained his MBA in 1999 and his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2006. Currently he is working as a Personal Coach (CPCC, ACC) and as a freelance trainer.
