You’ll have to get your Cap and Gown before your graduation ceremony – be careful with ensuring you have enough time to be collecting these and get in place for the graduation ceremony. The University recommends you are at the venue by at least 45 minutes before the start of the ceremony as there will be many graduates attending the summer graduation. Your cap and gown will also have to be returned once you have finished with them on the day or you can buy them.
Please note that the graduation will take place in Hull City Hall.

Robing and photography is located in the Guildhall (pictured below) just a short distance from the City Hall.
Getting your Robe and going to the graduation venue (10 minute walk – a leisurely one at that). When robed, please make your way to the Mortimer Suite at the City Hall and report to the Student Reception Desk to obtain your seat number for the ceremony. Once you have your seat number, make your way into the Main Hall.

You must be in your allocated seat at least 30 minutes before the start time as you will be given important instructions relating to the ceremony. If you arrive late, you risk not being admitted to the ceremony and your graduation is likely to be delayed to another ceremony.
